The challenge

Rent Porta Johns needed a dedicated website where customers could explore portable restroom rentals, find service information for their area, and request a quote. The experience needed to work across different rental needs and delivery locations, especially on mobile.

I was the primary developer for the site as part of my role at Waste Removal USA, responsible for UI/UX implementation and technical architecture. Management provided direction and feedback, content writers supplied much of the copy, and company design patterns and coworker guidance informed the build.

Location-aware rental quotes

Product availability can vary by delivery area. I built the quote form to use a customer’s ZIP code and show the products relevant to their area before they send an inquiry. That gives customers useful options up front.

After ZIP 30303 is entered, the form shows rental products and quantity controls before the inquiry is submitted.

Reusable page architecture

Customers needed rental information for different cities, industries, and products. I built reusable WordPress templates and configurable components, including hero and CTA variations, so each page could fit its context without starting from scratch.

A city page brings local information and a quote form together, while an industry page uses a broader photographic introduction. Those variations give each page a clear purpose while keeping navigation, styling, and quote actions consistent. The templates also support adding and updating content over time.

The construction page uses a different hero layout for an industry-specific introduction.

Mobile-first experience

I designed the layouts, forms, and navigation for smaller screens first, then adapted them for desktop. The mobile menu shows that approach: the quote action stays beside the menu button, and opening the menu brings the site’s main destinations into view.

Mobile homepage with a compact header, visible quote action, and closed menu button.
Closed: the quote action stays visible beside the menu control.
Expanded mobile menu showing Industries, Products, Service Areas, FAQ, About, Blog, and a phone action.
Open: destinations and expandable product and industry menus are easy to find.

Launch & ongoing work

The website launched in early 2026 and remains in active use. It brings product information, service-area browsing, and location-aware quote requests together in one responsive WordPress site.

I continue to maintain the site and work on its performance, search visibility, and user experience after launch.
